How to Add Your COVID-19 Vaccine Card to Apple Wallet

Read Time:1 Minute, 51 Second

Apple is making it easier for iPhone users to show proof of vaccination. The company released its iOS 15.1 software update last week and with it came the ability to keep a digital copy of your COVID-19 vaccine card in your phone’s Apple wallet. (Samsung and Google offer wallet apps similar to Apple for vaccine card storage.)

There have been other digital vaccine card solutions, but the quickest and easiest way to do it is through Apple wallet since it doesn’t require a third-party app. In fact, once your vaccine card is added to the Wallet app, it can be viewed and presented at any time. You’ll just need to unlock your phone to get full access to the card.

The wallet card shows your name, which COVID vaccine you received, the dates of your doses, the health care provider, and a QR code.
